Rating I am a beginner and I am sure this book will direct me in the right direction for writing a fiction. I find advise and guidance given by established writers to be very helpful.

- Loved it!! Review by Jason Butler

I found this not only a great book factually speaking, I also enjoyed it as a good read. Many times when reading a book of this type it is as much to hear someone else say the things you think as to hear new ideas or takes on ways of doing things.

- Absolutely essential book for all writers Review by Diane

If you're wondering what it takes to write gripping fiction that readers can't put down, you've got to read this book. Les Edgerton educates without being preachy, with a warm, humorous voice that is entertaining. Not only will you learn what makes a strong opening, you will also learn novel structure, plot, pace and characterization. Lots of bang for the buck in this book.

Anyone who wants to get published one day needs to read this book. Not only does it go into great detail about where to begin a novel and writing a strong opening, it also goes into novel structure and writing a compelling story. Best of all, the book is written in a warm, interesting voice that makes it a pleasure to read. A must read for every aspiring novelist.
