What Writers Are Saying About This Service

"I am so grateful that I came across this critique service! I did not know what to expect when I sent my query letter, but was extremely pleased with the response that I received. Jack Adler was selected to critique my query letter for a nonfiction book proposal. He gave me valuable feedback on the content of my letter as well as encouragement that helped pull me over a small slump I was in. After having friends, family and old college professors read my query letter, Jack's feedback was exactly what I needed. I was also very pleased with the turnaround time. I received a response within just a few days. I definitely recommend this service to anyone who is looking for input from a published writer. It is well worth the money!" — Molly

"We found your comments and critique very helpful. You saw the message we were trying to get across and made everything so concise, it flows so much better now. We'll definitely be going forward with your suggestions, and will be using your service again for our synopsis. Thank you!" — Jameson Guccione

Nice but contradicts advice given everywhere else Review by John
Rating

The reviewer basically wanted me to plug in extraneous information that every other book on query letters and literary agent's blog says to leave out. Events are assumed by the agent to be contiguous one after another and therefore going into further detail just makes you seem like an inept writer who can't figure out what details are important to the plot.

Absolutely loved Jack Adler's critique of my query letter. Not only did he give me valuable advice, but he re-wrote the query into something that made more sense. For the hours authors spend writing and rewriting and worrying about queries, this service is the best kept secret I stumbled upon. I will use Jack in the future for my synopsis and other projects.

Straightforward and encouraging Review by Stephanie

I can't tell you how many hours I spent toying with wording in my query, taking huge sections out, and then plugging them back in at a different place. By the time I threw my hands up in the air, I would have been glad to just delete the whole thing. I'm really glad I went forward with this instead. It costs a fair bit, and you have to wait a couple of weeks, but you get a genuine response from someone who is in the field and knows what an agent looks for. They analyze your writing in a way that encourages you to keep going. Completely worth the money and time.
